Anchorage Alaska

Anchorage... Hmmm, just a big shopping town. It was pretty, but I don't need to go back. Really it was a lot like an Alaskan Tijauna. Mitzi and Mike went on an amazing whale watching tour and visited the fish hatchery and LOVED it. So maybe I will go back someday when I am rich so that I can go on some of the fun adventures.

We did get to see the tv show Top Chef filming an episode at Tracy's Crab Shack.

Cruising!!!

We were so lucky to get to go on an Alaskan Cruise!

Grandpa Bodell came with us, and during the "veteran's open house" we went and said our military medley. Grandpa was so proud! Whenever you go on a cruise, you should really do everything available for the first two days, because then you get to meet a lot of the people on the cruise. Cruise ships are so "enclosed" that then the rest of the cruise you see your buddies all over!

 The scenery is beautiful!!!
 Our first port was Haines.
Billy and I rented bikes and rode all around this adorable village!

Shark teeth

Cole has shark teeth. Do you know what I mean? That his teeth grows in rows? It is CRAZY! I can't even imagine what his orthodontic bills will be like... but he sure has a cute smile.

Ballerina girl!

Oh how I love having a little girl! My sweetheart ballerina LOVED being in this dance recital!I have blogged in the past about our neighbor family "boy's club". The mom of this darling family is named Bladen. She is a dance teacher for little kids. So at age 2, Savvy became a ballerina!

She was a hoot! She totally stole the show because she has been performing with Kids Are Music this year, so she was not at all nervous. The other girls in her class definitely had stage fright. She went up to the center front of the stage and danced like a banshee!! It was great!!

We are totally Fair People!

 Fair Rules:
#1. You must all dress alike. It just makes me gooey happy!

#2. You have to be willing to try something new and AMAZING!
(Bill was loving his gator on a stick)
#3. Bring strollers for all the kids. You will be happy after the first few hours.
#4. Bring lots of healthy snacks so that your kids are not hungry and whiney for every amazing sugary teat they see. This saves on money and "sugar-craze melt-downs".

#5. Kids don't get to choose their treat until we walk the entire fair and check out everything there is to offer. then everybody gets to choose on treat of anything they want.
#6. Check what days they offer what. We only go on the free day. (Usually you have to bring a canned good to donate for the free admission.)

#7. Tell kids before hand, either no rides, or they get to choose one ride at the end of the day.

#8. take the time to see the shows and walk the display villages! These are ALWAYS worth the time.

Carrie Collins, this picture is for you!!! HILARIOUS! The South is SO SO SO different from living in "the OC". Can you imagine eating this??? It probably is delicious, but seriously... Pig Butt on a stick? Anything Butt on a stick is not something I would advertise!
